For a few years now Easy Composites have been working with the
Antakari Solar Team in Chile, supplying all the composite materials for their Intikallpa solar car. They compete in the
World Solar Challenge. A few weeks back our good friend at the team, Daniel Garrido, sent through some photos of the car when it arrived safely at Hidden Valley Motor Sport in Darwin, Australia. Daniel and the team make extensive use of carbon fibre composites in the body construction, primary using epoxy resin infusion and of course all composite materials supplied by us

You can see the spread-tow carbon fibre used on the sandwich panel internal bulkheads in this photo:

The main body of the car is all done in carbon fibre composites too. You might just make out the Easy Composites logo on the side of the car. Thanks guys

We wish the whole of the Antakari team the best of luck with the car. If you'd like to find out more about the car, the team or the series, you'll find them at:
