Hi I'm doing resin infusion and I'm very happy with the glossy finish apart from some tiny gaps around the fibres on the surface finish.any ideas where I might be going wrong?

It's dry. You have either clamped the resin too early, or you have allowed too much resin to be drawn out of the laminate after clamping the resin line.

Don't clamp the resin feed first. Either clamp at the same time, or if a cosmetic finish is paramount, clamp the vacuum line first and then after 20-30 seconds clamp the resin line.
