I use the IN2 infusion resin, can I degass half a cup with the infusion catch pot? Or is the catchpot to small and it will be messy?

will probably get messy, can expand up to 4 times in mass sometimes, depending on the temperature of the resin and how many air is trapped in it

Never tried or thought about it but I cannot see why it wouldn't work.
Can't see it being any messier than using a full size degasser.
I only degas half cups at a time in my large degasser to ensure the cup never overflows and makes a mess in the bucket in the degasser, granted your going to be working in tight catch pot space, but all your doing is applying a vaccum to some resin.
Would be interesting experiment to try.

Well, it did get messy
But only because I opened the vent valve to fast... Its no problem to degass as long as you only degas 150g or less. If you try more than this the cup is to small, and there will get messy.

Yeh be careful using the catch pot, I destroyed an expensive vacuum gauge attempting to degas 100ml of resin in a 450ml cup
