Nice work, you must have been ready to fall over with fumes using unimold, a very god system especially for polishing up I only use during summer when I can work out side ,I seem to have a low tolerance to polyesters resin.god luck.

From what he said earlier, he probably doesn't need the extra clamping force being mid-engined.

Andy, as always, your moulds seem to have come out great and you make it look far easier than it actually is!!

No, he definitely does not need it with the weight reduction and balance of the car, but my question was more to whether he was looking at going to a six piston just as an upgrade since he redoing the entire car. More of a "want" item than a "need" item, or just putting the cherry on top of this amazing build.

I have 6 pots all round on the other car I'm building... But the noble simply doesn't need it and the extra weight wouldn't be worth it.

I have plenty of Brembo and AP calipers lying around including some massive 6 pots :-)

I've had some issues before so I use a mask now :-)

Haha. You sound like me with the stash of big brakes.

Can't wait to see the finished carbon part.

Ok, so I was working overseas for 6 weeks in jan/feb so have only just managed to make some progress on this.

Basically I had a cheap paint job done on the original Tub and lacquered the roof myself in the garage... the mould came off the roof perfectly and easily, however the bits Id had painted all reacted and stuck itself to the mould and was a nightmare to remove and took me around 40hrs to clean it up ready for a pull... not good.

Anyhow I laid the materials over the last week in evenings and bagged it over the weekend and finally pulled resin last night... as usual all didn't go to plan, i decided at the last minute to change my material lay up, ran out of materials etc etc.

I envalope bagged the part, used 10 metres of bagging material as the bag was 5mx3m.... was fun trying to get a decent seal, I wasn't as successful as I wanted, but better than I expected, however it wasn't a total seal so I will have to wait to see how the part turns out Sad

Anyhow pics.

Very nice work! You must have constantly been mixing resin with a feed cup that small!

Love this.

What do you do with your moulds after you're done with them Andy? I can't bring myself to make my bonnet, boot and fenders because I don't know where I would store the moulds afterwards!

could you give me an idea on how much layers of fiberglass and g/m2 you've used to reinforce the mould with the tooling resin... just to get an idea
