Group: Forum Members Posts: 157, Visits: 1.2K	davro (29/12/2014) Thanks All Well pleased with the weight reduction of this part, considering I have raised the height of the new part. Goal was to reduce the weight of this bonnet air scoop to under 1kg. This new 4 layer carbon fibre part is around 900 grams, minus some trimming + some clear coat So the new part is over 1kg lighter than the original glass fibre part + it has a go faster stripe ! The spread tow Go faster stripe was cut with easy composites 8-inch-kevlar-scissors This looks fantastic, I do a lot of V weave but never thought to do this. Im making my 2 part carbon seats over this weekend so I am going to have a go at doing something similar on them

Group: Forum Members Posts: 300, Visits: 2.2K	Finally got around to clear coating the bonnet scoop, and installing it There where quite a few pin holes in the first product due to mould breach/crack during infusion, and I am not the best sprayer in the world but she came out nice, me thinks. Having a light under the table helps with alignment. This made me smile Happy days.
