Cheers scottracing, looking forward to making these in carbon next, and some nice long tubes of different sizes for the intakes and then a carbon plenum no doubt Smile
Not sure who originally machined these moulds, I did try to mill some intakes but my milling machine was just a bit too small for the job.

This is an Aeroscreen mould that wraps down the side of the scuttle with some nice big flanges, that I plan on connecting to some (aero) doors eventually. I used the old scuttle as the former for the new extended Aeroscreen, Duncan Cowper with the insane turbo hayabusa Dax Rush gave me the original Aeroscreen that I extended Smile

AutoGlym Hyper Fresh helps keep the smell down.

Hopefully, I should get the Aeroscreen of the composite table tomorrow, so I can start working on the rear arches again (drivers side arch to do Smile

The Dax Rush MC, Modified Aeroscreen mould separated from the pattern nicely Smile
Just need to trim the edges and give it a polishing before making some carbon fibre aero screens.

What do you use to polish your moulds prior to their first use?

I've just taken a mould from one of my cycle wings and have been pleased with how it came out so far. I feel giving it a quick polish would help improve the quality of the finished product even though visually the mould looks good now.

Do yourself a favour and give the Pai Crystal range from Easy Composites a go! The NW1 cutting compound is far and above the best compound I have ever used, and I've used a lot! That on its own will give you a very good gloss, but I also always use the Easy Gloss Black which is the second stage in the system. It's magic stuff.

Test fitting the new Aeroscreen, just need to finish fitting sanding edges to shape, drill some fixing holes :/ and then get it 2K clear coated for some UV protection and the weight so far is 450 grams.

A couple of images of the aero screen installed just needs a small bead of black silicon to bond it to the scuttle.

Have started a new job so most of my time is taken up with this now.
But winter is coming and I do have some winter project upgrades planned while the car is off the road.
