Hi guys, I'm about to try my first infusion ,
It's a small cafe racer seat with a lot of shape
Can I cut the peel ply to lay it neater or is it ok to have big folds in it
Thanx in advance

Both are fine, it's porous so makes no real difference. The only issue with cuts is sometimes it can tear along the cut and be a pain to removed

I had an issue once there I tried laying it with folds in it, and I didn't realise it actually pinched a small amount of carbon fibre in one of the folds. Of course when that infused and cured, it mechanically locked the peel ply in place so I ended up with this shred of peel ply permanently stuck in the part. Ended up binning it.
These days I always cut the peel ply so that it lays flat on the surface. I put perforated release film over the top so that I can remove it all easier come demould.
