I have just got this off my shelf in the workshop to use,

I recently bought some new ,

now putting the bottles together the older one on the right looks a totally different colour to the new one,

Both of the bottles are unopened,

I keep them up on a shelf in the dark ,

What i want to know Is it still ok to use or not ??

Dont want to waste a lot of carbon and kevlar,

Any views on this ,

Thanks in advance.

I guess the guys of Easycomposites can give you more information on that , but what you could do is make a small sample of lets say 50grams...
mix it and let it harden in the mixing cup... you'll see if you could still use it or not Smile

Hi Daz,

You'll be fine. From the time the hardeners are manufactured, the material starts changing colour. It's not a function of UV exposure (which is why your hardeners have noth been stored in the dark but are now different colours), instead it will be the case that these two have been poured from two different barrels and would have been manufactured at slightly different times.

I'm totally confident that if we've supplied these in the last 12 months they will be perfectly fine to use and will both cure properly and fully.

All the best, Matt

Cheers Matt,

Have used it on a battery box lid and it has cured,
