Finished the mould and pulled the first half of an oil catch tank for a customers Hillclimb car. The plan is to pull a second half, bond the two together and then trim off the flange. Done with infusion 200grm CF - 2 x 290grm E Glass - 200grm CF. Weight of one half is 123grms, could probably loose one layer of E Glass. Capacity when finished will be 2 ltrs.

Is this a functioning oil/air separator or more of a flashy empty can? Ie. does it have any internal baffles to catch the oil? Not a dig, just wondering and interested to know how you put the baffles in place if it has them?

Also interested to know how you're attaching the fittings?

Hi, its a flashy empty can Smile Because its a race engine and tends to "breath" a bit heavier than a standard engine the regulations require an "oil reservoir" to be fitted. He is using a plastic washer bottle at the momentSmile
Threaded inserts will be bonded on to take the hose tails and two push in air fittings and some PVC clear tube will be used as a level indicator.
