Quite a lot of my parts use graphics. The above method is ok but unless you apply at least 6 coats of clear and do lots of flatting/polishing the graphics are always slightly proud of the surrounding surface. Another method I use is to apply a clear gel coat (epoxy) to the mould first. Once this is dry I then apply the graphics and then continue with my normal Infusion stack. This way the graphics become part of the part giving a nice flat finish. This only works if you use Epoxy resins as polyester resins "attack" some vinyls.
