Completed my first project using the EC EF80 Flexible Resin, mudguards for a Trials Bike. I am hoping that the combination of Carbon/Kevlar reinforcement and the Flexible Resin will hold up to the abuse of Trials Riding. I did do a very scientific "impact" test, put the rear one on the workshop floor and jumped on it ha ha.

Regards Warren

EC staff advised me against using a gel coat. The parts have had a flexible (apparently) 2k clear coat applied. The first ones I did were a bit too flexible so I added more reinforcement on the second attempt. It took an age for it to cure. After 4 days I put them in the spray booth/oven. Although not advised by EC I think I may try heating the resin and have a bash at infusion with it!!! I wet laid and vacuum bagged these.
