Hi all, I'm going to be making a flat carbon fiber practice panel with a 2 mm soric tf core and I'm wondering if it is necessary to chamfer the edge like I've seen in some literature? Going to be using a standard 2x2 twill weave to cover the core.

The chamfering seems common with more solid foam cores but just wanted to check before I finalize my plan. Thanks!

Ah of course, I missed that it was the TF version. Much better product, although still extremely heavy. 

I still feel any Soric core isn't worth chamfering. It's better and easier to build up the reinforcement to the same thickness as the core. Or taper it off if you dont need the rigidity at the edge of the panel.
