Hi all, I'm going to be making a flat carbon fiber practice panel with a 2 mm soric tf core and I'm wondering if it is necessary to chamfer the edge like I've seen in some literature? Going to be using a standard 2x2 twill weave to cover the core.

The chamfering seems common with more solid foam cores but just wanted to check before I finalize my plan. Thanks!

It's also difficult to chamfer Soric nicely, it tends to tear too easily. It's also somewhat pointless given the flow channels will print just as much as the unchamfered edge will.

Its easier to butt up reinforcement to the edge of the core to make up the core thickness. Obviously makes the part heavier though.
