Hi,
Thx guys for your nice comments.
@prairiecustoms: the band was cut to width, then I removed the outer 3k carbon tow (lengthwise, both sides of course). It's then tacked in place with masking tape wraped to become double side in the area of the mold where is the welding lens opening recess (dunno if it makes sense). I do not have tack spray so thats the only way I found to "secure" it relative to the mold. The ends of the band are secured to the mold flanges the same way.
For the rest, i just prayed the Composite God for the band not to move while laying the fabric layers. Seems I was lucky (but hey I prayed much).

Hey Matthieu, nice to hear about you! The helmet has its "out of the mold" bare epoxy finish. Cant wait to see your goalie in this showroom thread

Made some side scoops for my car. These are wet lay with a 200g outer layer for the nice pattern followed by 2 layers of 600g.
I also made some dash plates to replace the the manky silver ones which looked rather dated.

Hi guys, so I finished my projects a few days ago, that I've started 6 months ago
It's a fieldhockey Keeper/goalie helmet made out of Carbon and Kevlar.
I've made 4 tutorials and will share them here, explaining the whole process of the making of.
Look at them if you'r interested...
Mouldmaking
Making backpart vacuumbagging
Making big part with VARTM technique
Finnishing part (fixing the problems I had with the Infusion)
shot with my new GoPro camera
Subscribe to my youtubechannel if you want direct updates on my projects
I can use any support!
Thanks to the help of the Easycomposites guys and all of you for all the inspiration and information found on this forum

Hi Matthieu. I'm glad you finally made it! Looks quite nice, but should I ask for some front side pictures?
