I am a professional inline speed skater and for my senior project want to work with carbon fiber to create my own frame.

I know how to use solid works and have a design idea, but I was wondering if anyone can help or give general advice on how to make a part like this from Prepreg carbon
.

Thanks!!

In simple moulding terms, you would be looking at a 2 part mould, split down the center-line into left and right moulds.  The hard and fiddly bit is going to be getting the pre-preg into the mould properly and into the detail.

In terms of the actual design,  it would almost certainly be worth doing some structural analysis on your design to determine any changes and also  to test any ideas  on layup to get a working design.
