I am a professional inline speed skater and for my senior project want to work with carbon fiber to create my own frame.

I know how to use solid works and have a design idea, but I was wondering if anyone can help or give general advice on how to make a part like this from Prepreg carbon
.

Thanks!!

Depending exactly how wide the gap is, the two mould halves are bolted together.  If its too tight to get in to lay up, you will need to do separate half lay ups, then bolt it together and get in there just for the overlaps.  See this video to see what I mean: Complex Mouldings Using Prepreg Carbon Fibre

thanks man i really appreciate it. So essentially i would just have to clamp the mold together  and be sure they overlap correctly
