I am a professional inline speed skater and for my senior project want to work with carbon fiber to create my own frame.
I know how to use solid works and have a design idea, but I was wondering if anyone can help or give general advice on how to make a part like this from Prepreg carbon
.

In simple moulding terms, you would be looking at a 2 part mould, split down the center-line into left and right moulds. The hard and fiddly bit is going to be getting the pre-preg into the mould...

Depending exactly how wide the gap is, the two mould halves are bolted together. If its too tight to get in to lay up, you will need to do separate half lay ups, then bolt it together and get in ther...

thanks man i really appreciateit. So essentially i would just haveto clamp the mold together and be sure they overlap correctly
