I tried repairing my mould last night as there were a few pin holes in the surface.

I therefore mixed up some tooling gelocat and wax additive and just filled in the holes.

Its now almost 24 hours since and the repair areas are still a little tacky.

I did use the correct ratio, but obviously something hasn't gone to process.

Therefore, what is the best solution to fix this ?

Do I wipe away the existing tacky repair and try and fill them again, or is there anything you can do to harden the existing repairs ?

I tried heating the repair areas last night with a heat gun, but seemed to have the opposite effect and make the repair area more tacky than before.

I ended up removing the original repair areas using some acetone and a cloth (Its only specific to a few pin holes locations on the mould)

I then mixed up some new gelcoat and wax additive and left it over night to harden.

Fingers crossed it will have set by the time I get home tonight so I can snad and polish ready for resin infusion over the weekend.
