Sorry EC, but I've started making my own "pro-finish" ... Startig from a need of some "plain weave" and "Twaron" "pro-finish" --
I lay up ordinary CF weave (any weave really) on my glass table... back side up, make sure the weave is perfectly straight and even, then spray it with Zytec Aerofix 3 ... then leave it to dry ...
And ... before you all ask ... YES! ... the "new" "Zytec Aerofix" will be visible in the resin, through gelcoat, if you use it to tack the visible side of a cosmetic CF part to the mould.
not a problem, if you make sure to have your "homemade" profinish" the right side up ...
You can vary the "stiffness" of your own "profinish" by using more ore less Aerofix...
The "homemade" fixing spray using partly cured resin dissolved in acetone works just as well for making your own "profinish" only disadvantage is that it stays slightly sticky.
Big advantage is that it will becom invisible in the finished product, if you get it on the outside of a part. (unless it has picked up a lot of dust in your tidy workshop ..
