In the video I show the process of making the product. There was no mould only a template that I used to cut out 10 sheets of 1mm carbon fibre sheet. Then I laminated these sheets together into one stack. I split this stack into 5 laminates and created the two pronges to hold the tiny peice of carbon sheet that will be the contact area for the grip tape. There is a metal sleeve insert for the pivot point

This was just a test that came out quite well, while I played around with some easycomposite structural adhesive.

Haha,  brilliant!!  Glad I've made an impression.

Pedal looks great now its clear coated. Nice shape to it. I always think a properly designed shape just 'looks' right to the eye and that deff looks right.

It looked hardwork with the hacksaw and files in your video tho. I use a 1mm cutting disc on a 115mm diameter angle grinder for cutting things like that, even curves.

What kind of clear coat do you use? I'm away to buy my first comrpessor and spray gun but I'm stuck as to which laquer to choose.

Cheers Craig I just pulled of the clutch pedal and it weighs 500 grams bloody heavy thing !

My clear coating setup
I use a Devilbiss SLG-610 recommended by a professional sprayer as good low pressure gun.
The 2K clear coat I use is KAPCI clearcoat, hardener, thinner.
And a good quality spraying mask!!

Yeh right, not bad! Does it cope with acetone at all? 

Only used 2K clear coat and some 2K black paint with it so far, the packaging says "Solvent Based Paint Only"

Just out of interest what would you spray that has acetone in it ?
