Yes, You can, I find the epoxy putty to be excellent for smaller parts, and I have made several split moulds with it ..
I reality it just replaces both the coupling layer and the rest of the glassfibre layers in the process..
And you can work in a smaller workshop, and not have the smell to bother you...
You will have to use an Epoxy tooling gelcoat with it.
So far I'm on the third bucket of 5 kg's of putty ... The moulds made from it are very strong, and will last for a lot of pulls from it, and are easily repaired.
