Yes it is made to be played. It sounds great. My wife has a wooden one that this is based on. As the weather changes, the wood moves and it goes out of tune. I thought Carbon Fibre would be more stable. I am just waiting for the strings to settle down. (Nylon strings stretch and go out of tune for a few days.) Then I will record my wife playing it.
Cost, including making the moulds and vacuum equipment (I already had a vacuum pump.) are about £700 plus £70 for harp tuning pins and strings etc.
I have learned a lot from making this.
