I'm not too sure how familiar you guys are with this but thought I'd ask whether anyone has attempted with that technique. As far as I know, this is done with chopped carbon fiber strands under high pressure. At least that's how Audemars Piguet does it with their watches. Recently, Lamborghini started using this method as well for their Sesto Elemento concept cars.  Does anybody have a clue whether this can be done in a home-based environment or you need hi-tech machinery?

The process is similar to that video of how it's made, that chris showed us ... the small difference is that they dont "add" a resin but that the resin is allready in the fibers, like Prepreg... then they add heat and pressure
