Hi guys...I want to transition to prepreg and I'm trying to my head around some things before I invest...I'm not 100% sure prepreg will work in my very complex multi part mold so minimizing investment until I've got some confidence would be good.
...Big question is will I be able to get a decent indication of potential using XC110 in an oven that wanders either idea of setpoint by about 5 degrees?
...Another challenge is that the layup includes an already formed dry carbon panel on one of the mold parts, will the XC110 have enough resin to adhhere to that panel?

I cannot comment on the temperature questions, I have no experience with the XC110 system.

In general i would have said that complex parts with multi part moulds is really the sweet spot for prepregs tho. If you want to bond to a core or to another cured panel, then I'd recommend using an additional resin film.

Cheers Lester...it's the complexity of the joins that is interesting. The joining cloth has to double back almost 180 in a crucial area, I'm doing that fine with wet 200 twill and a silicone bladder with built in intensifiers. We shall see if I can make it work with prepreg...if not then I'll have to significantly change my product to make it work...I'll find a way I'm sure.
