Good morning
I am making am mould for a bonnet scoop with the intentions at this stage to wet lay up only with our bagging or vacuum and wonder if :-
Can I wet lay up one ply of 200gsm 2x2 twill carbon only and let that cure off to aid getting a good finish (Prevent bridging and dry spots) and then lay up further plies for strength afterwards.
I will be using Easy Composites EL2 Epoxy Laminating Resin with fast and slow hardeners
Regards
Ian

This shape part would be really to make in polyester resin.
One layer of your carbon twill well done and just a couple more of a chop strand mat straight on the back.
