Concluded: to lay down 2-3 layers of carbon fiber on the front side in order to avoid the impression. p.s. weight plates 20x20 cm = 100 grams ) Lightweight and durable ) Infusion without mesh, without peel-ply. Group: Forum Members Posts: 688, Visits: 5.4K	As I don't know the reason for the test this may be an unfair comment but for a core to add any real strength it needs to have balanced layers of reinforcement either side of it, hence the term core. When there is only reinforcement on one side the stack can delaminate under load. Warren Carbon Copies Ltd

Should be a big load The core is only there to separate the outer layers of reinforcement, in basic terms the thicker the core the stronger the laminate. If there is only reinforcement on one side the core is doing very little to add strength. Thickness but not strength. Warren Carbon Copies Ltd

Group: Forum Members Posts: 363, Visits: 3K	I think the test was purely to see how many layers you have to put over soric to prevent print through rather than making a panel with just carbon on one side. You can have unbalanced laminates, it just depends on the forces going through it but then you have to carefully control the cure cycle etc to prevent distortion
