Nah 6mm is ridiculous, you could sand blast with that! I use a 2.5mm nozzle on the HVLP gun for tooling gelcoats. I only use the HVLP for small intricate parts though, for larger parts like bonnets I use a G100 with a 4.2mm tip. 








I'm going to take that recommendation and treat myself to a G100 I usally get my stuff from easycomposites but there are no options for the nozzles that I can see, mmm ?

Will proberly get from here as they have a nozzle selection from 0.8 to 7.1mm and it comes with a 4.8mm

Paints – FN – 3.
Resins – FN – 4.
Gelcoats – FN – 5, FN – 6.
Gelcoats with flake – FN – 7, FN – 8.
