Motorcycle Fuel Tank Carbon Fiber Help

N Group: Forum Members Posts: 6, Visits: 47	Hey There, I intend to make a Motorcycle Fuel tank in Carbon Fiber by infusion creating probably a 6 part mold. My question is, how can i "glue" 6 parts and how can i insulate inner side for gasoline use. Does Epoxy resin will be good or do i have to cover inside tank with something? Thanks..

Group: Forum Members Posts: 2.5K, Visits: 28K	You can construct it in the normal way, but then you need to coat the inside with an especially high chemically resistant epoxy, regular epoxy won't do. You need a Phenol Novolac epoxy. Look for epoxy tank sealers, and just make sure they are a two part product, the single part tank sealers are no good.
