Hello,

I recently purchased a panel of your 4.8 mm Nomex honeycomb, thickness 10 mm. I have a project where I need to bend a strip of the honeycomb about 5 cm wide into a cylinder and glue it on the inside of a tube with a radius of 100 mm. What happens is that the honeycomb gets warped (picture attached) and I could only glue it on the edges. Does anybody have any advice how to solve that? Is this a characteristic of this particular honeycomb or do all behave like that?

This is a characteristic of honeycombs in general.  If you were bonding it and holding it in place using a vacuum bag then you would probably be ok.  Aluminium honeycomb may be easier to use on a curve as you can take the curve out by very slight compressing of the cells around the curve.

I am willing to use Nomex paper honeycomb sheets for my project work, is there any specific process to bend it and give it a shape? or if you know any research paper having the info related to the bending process of nomex honeycomb or honeycomb composite, then kindly share the name or DOI of the paper.
Thanks

Use OX or rectangular honeycomb cells, cut across.
The HEX you have should be OK as well, but the bonding surface has to be tacky or use vacuuming for fix that. Depends on next processing...

Yes that link is a good one to look at.   For mild curves, generally vacuum bagging will hold the material in place enough during the curing process of the resin film or resin adhesive.

It quite works on mild flat panel. If the shape is more complex, you have to fix the core in correct position over the vacuum bag during vacuuming. That's a nightmare work...
