I have a piece of aluminium which is about 3mm thick, I wish to carbon skin on both sides (front and back). 
The piece has two M6 holes in it which I need to retain once skinned.

How do skin around these holes?
Is it best to skin over the holes and then drill them out once cured or should I try and skin around / through them whilst laying up?

For something so small, I would say cover over then drill out once a couole of layers if resin have cured.  You should then get a nice crisp edge that you can shape and sand if needs be for a perfect fit.

Thanks Warren. Do you know where I could source a 1/4" carbide router bit for cutting carbon fibre sheet?

We use PCB cutter bits which seem to work very well.
