I did panel wipe parts down 1st. Also if I even if i put another layer down still get them? could it be contamination with the resins? temp is around 18 degree

Could be as simple as bits in the air landing on it during the cure. Does sanding them remove them completely? Also when you re-coat and get more of them, is it the same place exactly, (ie pinholes beneath opening up) or different places? (more likely to be fresh dust dropping on it). (more likely to be fresh dust dropping on it). yes sanding does remove but effectively takes it back to the layer we just put on. Main issue is once part is prepped and ready for 2k lacquer we get the same effect once lacquer goes on. Only real difference is they are more grouped. only option we have is to flatten and re lacquer? This is something that has come on more this year, thought it was temp related but never had problems like this last winter?? could carbon have contaminates in??

Group: Forum Members Posts: 90, Visits: 634	Epoxy resins are prone to pinholes which is what that looks like.. if your laquaring I put the first coat on and use a brush on the pinholes, just put a heavy coat on and brush the pinholes, it should level itself out then apply more coats and.repeat with the brush..worst case you can flat if needed and reclear or polish

Group: Administrators Posts: 2.5K, Visits: 8.5K	If it is definitely pin holes then as described above, you can literally fill them before lacquering. Brushing into the pinholes is the way.
