Hi,
So I've finished my Fieldhockey keeper Helmet...
No clearcoat was used.
I've used resin infusion but had some trouble with the vac bag and had a tiny little hole in it. it lost some vacuum after 8h I think...
Ive used the IN2 epoxy SLOW hardener...
So I would like to get a finnishing coat on it, what doe you think the best way is?
-Spraygunning clear epoxy on it
-Brush epoxy on it and let the excess epoxy drip of the part
-Spraygunning a topcoat (should have to buy it...so prefere the first option

A 2k laquer would work well, and would also protect from UV. Must be careful with 2k paint as its a killer if not sprayed correctly. I would recommend a really good mask, suits and gloves. I sprayed without a mask a few months ago, and well...i didn't feel 100% for weeks afterwards.
I'd be interested to hear other options to laquer.

Thanks for the response...the problem is, I have some small spots where the resin didnt make a clean surface.
There are no dry spots but some spots didn't totally fill... I was thinking using 2K spraycan but first have to smoothen out the parts that didn't totally fill.

Fill them with some resin. Will be tedious but necessary if you want to be able to just simply spray over.
You could try wiping resin on then off again so you only use a thin layer to fill the pinholes. Or just paint on another few thin layers of resin like you would do with carbon skinning.
You would of course need to sand it smooth again afterwards.
