Hi,

To complete what Paul said about using laminating resins in infusion,

Hi Matthieu,

The simple Answer for your simple question is yes! The infusion resin is simply a lower viscosity version of the laminating resin, for flatter components it's great however for vertical face (like up the side of a mould) the resin can drain away which is the primary reason for the laminating resin being higher viscosity. likewise the laminating resin can be used for infusion, however it will infuse much slower so this is only a possibility for very small parts.

Small simple question...

till now I have mostly done Infusions on carbon parts but now I have a small part I would like to laminate...

I have some IN2 epoxy resin (for infusion)

would it cause any problems if I laminate with this?

it would be a simple part with Carbon and Kevlar sheets with dimension of 30cmx30cm... I planned to laminate the sheets on plastic foils and then allign them into the mould...

than vacuumbag it...
