Hey guys,

I will probably use high temp resin for a next project. But I wondered if it could be used with infusion process. On EC website, they dont talk about it, and further investigation shows that its viscosity is about 2.5 times the classic infusion resin.

So I had to have a try. And yes, you can infuse it... Here are the results...

30cm*30cm flat panel of cloth , using 2 layers of 200g/sqm 2*2 twill 3K carbon fiber cloth. Then peel ply, then infusion mesh, then vacuum bag, the usual stuff...

It infused in 7 minutes. Dunno if its long or not for such a panel size, never took care of time during my work with classic infusion resin.

Infusion was made using a "Resin Brake" kinda system (see this topic: http://www.talkcomposites.com/140/Resin-Brake .

Hi Joe thanks for the info,

It's good to know that it can be infused; albeit slowly. On smaller parts I don't think that this would ever cause any problems. Great stuff!
