going to make a part with FG for my first big piece.
lets assume i have my mold made and my dry materials laid out-- this i have worked out
i have my vacuum kit together(hoses, fittings etc)--this i can work out and get set up
what goes where before it gets the final bag for sealing?--here i need suggestions
what materials go where and what are the properties of each material?
i think i am talking about peel ply and then soric? or is there another step?
thanks everyone, i appreciate all your help.

Hi, are you planning on wet lay then vacuum bag or infusion?
For wet lay.
1- Gel Coat (unless you are planning on painting the part)
2- Reinforcement, in your case CSM.
3- Perforated Peel Ply.
4- Breather Cloth (absorbs excess resin)
5- Bagging Film.
Infusion.
1- Gel Coat as above.
2- Reinforcement, as above.
3- Non perforated Peel Ply.
4- Infusion Mesh
5- Bagging Film.
With Infusion you don't need the Breather Cloth as the Reinforcement to Resin ratio will be correct.
Soric is used to replace/add reinforcement, not a part of the process.
The above is a basic guide and depending on the part a combination of the two set-ups can be used.
Hope that helps.

No problem. If I can give any more info/help just fire away.
I am self taught so some of my methods may not be "text book" but they are the result of MANY "c***- ups"
