Successfuly made some pre preg. Wanting to clear coat. Untill I get set up I'm using rattle can acrylic.

I key in with 800 grit but it drys showing all the 800 scratches .

Would this still happen with proper mixed 2k clear coat?

Depends if you use a high solids clear or a medium solids clear. For medium solids you want to prep with a gold scuffing pad rather than sand paper. For high solids, you can prep with 600 grit.

What's the difference? Mainly spraying small parts of that makes a difference

Like name suggests there is higher solids (HS) content. It is also called scratch resistant clear... i use ultra high solids (UHS) clear to coat CF and can even get away with 400 grit but most of the time i finish at 800. All offcourse 2k.

Nice thanks. Can you also point me in the right direction for compressor and spray gun. Also what brand of clear coat do you use. Is it acrylic 2k?
