Rear spoiler next

I have been designing carbon fiber bodies for RC cars.  If you are not aware, guys are running these electric cars in the 150 to 202 mph range. (not scale speed)  They are cranking out 200-400 amps at 16 to 34 volts.  That converts to being in the neighborhood of 6 to 12 horsepower.  Looking at the options on the market I decided they needed something that didn't look like a Ferrari, Porsche, Lambo etc...
What they need is something more like a Bonneville land speed car.

These are my creations thus far.  I just put all my chips in to buy an infusion setup so that I can scale up production time.  And save myself from filling all the imperfections with resin after the fact.

v2 - 3D printed design to form the mould and form the body.


Both V1 and V2 are around 31 inches long for 1/7 scale cars.  They will also fit 1/8 scale cars just by shortening the length off the rear of the body.

Next I am starting on some 1/10 scale bodies.  They should consume far less materials and be considerably easier to ship!

I made a new design of dash recently for my car (noble M12)... started as little more that filler and cardboard so shows what can be done with a cheap and dirty buck (if your quick and careful).
Ive included pictures of the final product (some of them before they had been flatted and final lacquered), but also some buck pictures so people can see how the shapes were created, maybe give some motivation for those that think it takes more skills than it actually does.

Brilliant work as usual Andy!  You got the V weave very nicely done. Massive improvement over the original and also bet its much lighter too!
