XCR instead of clearcoat

S Group: Forum Members Posts: 46, Visits: 383	Hi everyone, Has anyone experience using XCR Epoxy instead of clearcoat? Is the result comparable? I have bought „special“ clear coat and filler for epoxy and now I am wondering which is best practice. Thanks for your opinions!

Group: Administrators Posts: 2.5K, Visits: 8.5K	XCR, being a resin, is a much thicker layer. Properly sanded smooth XCR with a high quality polish will look very good but generally does not look as "wet" as a clear coat lacquer. Also Modern automotive lacquers will generally offer much better UV protection as most are 100% UV stable. Depending on your climate, this may or may not be a consideration.
