I have been trying to cover this in carbon fibre using the Easy Composites XCR Skinning kit and failed on the last two attempts!!... When laying the carbon cloth I have been working from the centre outwards as suggested but I continue to get creases/bridging and all sorts of problems... should I be trying to do this in two or more pieces? or is it my technique?? (or lack of)!! .... where is the best place to start from and what method would you suggest??...

The shape is quite complicated at the front so you might do better using 2 pieces of cloth. One piece for the front detailed area and the second for the smoother rear.

Thanks for your reply... I will give it a try and let you know how I get on!!… If I use two pieces of cloth, would it be better to use a but join or overlap the two pieces where they meet?

Overlapping is generally neater.  You can use hairspray or similar on the edge to be cut neatly to help it reduce fraying then carefully overlap that on top the lower fabric and you should have a fairly crisp join line that looks neat.
