This time I didn't want to turn the bike black (original colour was white). So for first layer i use 200gr Alufibre (Silver Glass) and the rest 200 gr CF.
The 200 gr Alufibre turned to be very difficult to work with since it is very delicate and it is to destroy the weave. It is easy to have cosmetic issues in your final product. Possible the 290 gr version could be easier to work with and give better visual appearance but wouldn't help keeping the weight low.
Project is currently near completion.

Front number plate and fender:

More photos to come with more details on the project.

From yesterday, ready to demould the radiator cover,

Looking good

The most messy part of carbon making is following next, cutting the part in shape and paying attention not to over do it and ruin all the work made so far.

I use Vinylester Gelcoat from Polyprocess (a French company that has a distributor here in Athens) and then Vinylester Distitron from same company for the layers of CSM. All applied with brush.
For in mould gelcoat I spray uncoloured Vinylester gelcoat compatible with epoxy.

Project is finished long time ago, finally I was able to upload some more photos.
Clear background stickers were designed for this project in order to have a better visual appearance.

The only traditional 'black' carbon part is  the engine protector plate :

Sure the silver look draws some attention ; )

And sure it is not made to sit in a showroom : )
