Hi,

The silicon connector should be placed on top of the breather cloth. It serves two purposes: getting an even vacuum pressure everywhere your breather cloth is, and catch excess resin that exists thru the release film.

Which leads me to a remark. I'm assuming you are gonna make a part with the vacuum bagging process. However, you told us that your release film is not perforated. It will then not let resin thru to the breather cloth when everything is bagged and under vacuum. Unperforated release film is usually perforated by its user to control the resin flow thru it on a way that works better for their application. Having too much resin in a composite is never as good as having a decent ratio.

Maybe there's a technique I'm not aware of, tho.

Hope it helps.
