I would like to skin a part of my dash board. I have purchased the necessary carbon kit form yourselves. But I do not know how to approach these particular bumps. Any advise before I start would be most welcome.

Yes you could do it that way, it's just a bit more fiddly to get the fabric to stay where it is initially.  Once it is stuck down to the tacky basecoat, don't coat it with clear resin yet - wait another few hours as the extra curing time will help hold the carbon in place a bit more.
