I want to use 2mm Lantor Soric for building a model boat and I want to place the infusion spiral in the middle of the part. Do I need to cut the Lantor Soric in halves just below the infusion spiral or will the resin flow through it?
On all videos I have seen, the resin starts flowing from the edge, but I am not sure if I can put the spiral on top.

Thanks! One more question. I see I don't need to use peel ply or infusion mesh with Soric, but I am worried that the infusion spiral would stick to the laminate, because it will be filled with hardened epoxy that has been flowing through the gaps. Does this happen? Should I separate the spiral with peel ply?

Yes, put peel ply or release film under the spiral. You only don't need to use it when you aren't putting anything directly on top of the laminate, ie. flow mesh. If you've got any consumables that you want to remove after the infusion then you need to use a release film or peel ply.
