Hi Dave
Brilliant. Now you can make all sorts of cool shaped moulds straight out of CAD with no messing about making bucks. Just a touch jealous.......

Started laying up the 2 part scuttle mould
with the spread two racing stripe design and some spread tow in the foot pedal area.

Looking very nice especially if the pattern comes out perfect. Is that Bi-axial carbon in the lay up?

Thanks Warren, Yes a while back I got a roll of the 10m Discounted Carbon Fibre 45 biaxial 300g £13meter
I find it works really nice for backing/reinforcing for body panels, it lays up really nice and keeps the cost down a bit ...
Managed to get the mould up to 67c for 8 hours and then it cooled to a low of 40c for 8 hours using the heated table, just removed all the insulation and it was still holding the vacuum no breach.
Finger crossed

Could not be happier
the pattern on the product came out perfect no slippage, one of my better infusion, I popped it back into the mould for a few days before I start attacking it with the dremel and cutting disks and start preparing for clear coat ...
Thanks everyone that shares the knowledge, I would not have been able to make anything like this without you

Mate that looks great you must be well chuffed with the part,
once finished and fitted, being a largish part will move your project forward nicely.
