You can do it without using either, run the resin in tube between the gum tape and vac bag with a ring of tape around, then use some spiral stuffed in the end to stop it collapsing. Have a piece of spiral taped all across the part and place the bit of spiral sticking out the tube on top of the spiral line

Thank you guys again. Yea i was worried about how to clean those connectors. I was told acetone works well but unsure how true that is. Just bought a few things from easy composites including the rubber connectors. That shipping to the west side of the states really sucks though.

You called it right. If you had infusion mesh the whole way you would have a great part. You would have destroyed your connectors. They are the wrong ones to use.

As an extra remark I would like to add that acetone wont clean your connectors once epoxy cured, acetone can clean epoxy while its in a runny state, like when you just use a brush and want to clean your brush. the cured epoxy can be drilled out with a drill.
