Hi,

I am planning to make a V-weave joint using 450g Twill for decoration. Should I cut the 2 edges and butt them together or can one side overlap the other? I will be infusing this.

Brian.

I've tried this!  You can do it by overlapping but you get a dark line down the join where there's a step.  Its not at all bad (1mm ish) but its there non the less.  I think accepting this is far easier than butt jointing cloth.  That would be a challenge!  Overlapping 200g twill gives a much better result.

Thank you. I think I will have to do some testing.

Brian.
