I have a loan of a wing to mould.  My last wing I moulded in two parts (top and bottom obviously!).  I flanged it across the front which gives a 90 degree angle.  Should I go beyond the split line and radius the mould so I can infuse easier?  The other option would just be what I've already done so can I infuse OK with the 90 degree angle?

The mould I made for my wing is split down the center line at a 90 degree angle and infuses no problem. Just pull vac in stages so you can move things around to ensure you don't get any bridging where the stack extends onto the flange. You can borrow the mould if its any use.Smile

Apart from the curve it looks a similar profile to the wing I do. I have attached a picture of the two halves of the mould just sprayed with GC50 before infusion. It may give you some ideas. I am not saying its the only way of doing it but it works for me.Smile

That is useful!  I hadn't thought too much about the ends either.  Your mould looks FAR better than my original one.  The new one I have is a known section and I'm thinking of doing a multi-element variant....eventually!

The ends don't actually get infused with the upper and lower sections they are added afterwards. The mould is 20mm longer than the finished wing. It gets cut to length after the two halves have been bonded together.

Sorry, should've been clear; same with mine, I was just unsure how to do the ends of the mould (plan is to build out a bit with wax).
