Biggest issue is getting a good seal on  the back... for the rear clam I tried 3 times taking 6hrs each time and gave up and pulled the final one regardless even though it wasnt full vacume let alone a total seal.

For me the biggest tip i can give you is DONT use a gel coat, assume you will have pin holes and will need to lacquer it to get rid of them... this has prevented me having scrap parts as I can recover a disaster parts with time spend sanding and polishing

My other bit of advice is to pay significant attention to the first layer of carbon, make sure there are absolutely no bridges and the weave is nice. If you think it isnt perfect or you have a bridge start again else you could end up with all your work a complete waste of time and materials wasted.
