F Group: Awaiting Activation Posts: 63, Visits: 99	I have just watched a vid on YouTube where a man was doing a wet layup. He did the first couple of coats of resin in the usual way but on the last two coats he sprayed them with a light coat of acetone. He said it gave a better final finish. Anybody know anything about this? Mick

Well realistically its only a surface coat, it's not doing anything for the structural integrity of the part. But it can also affect the surface finish, which is why I dont do it. But the idea is tha...

In theory the thin mist will have long evaporated off the surface of the resin before it can cause any damage.
