I have just watched a vid on YouTube where a man was doing a wet layup. He did the first couple of coats of resin in the usual way but on the last two coats he sprayed them with a light coat of acetone. He said it gave a better final finish. Anybody know anything about this?

Just another way of popping air bubbles. Same as going over it with a heat gun.

Isn't it damaging for the structural integrity of the final part ? Sounds sketchy !
