Do you have to use acetone to clean in between layers of laminate, or is there something else I can use to clean after sanding?

Ordinary "Denatured Alcohol" works well ... Be aware that the fumes can make you a bit tipsy --- Laugh You ARE dealing with an "organic Solvent" so lots of ventilation and preferably a mask.
